Role & responsibilities

The job holder should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience: -
• Knowledge of Multi-discipline Engineering fundamentals
• Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering practices, processes, and procedures
• Knowledge of CNC Machining 3 axis, 4 axis, 5 axis, Turning, Milling, Grinding.
• NC Programming /CAD/CAM/. Knowledge of Required Software like Solidcam, NX, Vericut, Solid works Etc
• Knowledge of machines & their capabilities, selection of machines, work holding design, machining processes, basic maintenance of machines/ equipment, tooling, and all other mechanical metal working operations
• Must be able to machine materials such as Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Kovar, titanium and other alloys.
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and other manufacturing related concepts, 5S, KAIZEN/ CIP, etc. and must be capable of implementing them
• Extensive knowledge of AS9100 Rev D, specifications, and standards.
• Excellent managerial skills to handle large team sizes and must be a taskmaster
• Awareness of latest tools and methods in the Market.
• Ensuring that cost, efficiency, quality, delivery, and other performance targets are met
• Ensure that health and safety norms are followed
• Production planning and achieving the targets set thereon
• Cost control (General & NPDs)
• Achieving costing parameters and initiate improvements in cost optimization
• Ensuring optimal asset utilization
• Ensuring outsourcing related activities are in sync with planning
• Preventive & Breakdown maintenance
• 5'S' and production environment. Shop floor display (like Safety signs, Production Metrics, Communication, etc)
• Determining resource and budgets for the office engineering program
• Responsible for all Engineering & NC activities
• Responsible for configuration control department
• Carries out appraisals ensuring all staff have meaningful objectives and all permanent engineering staff have personal development plans which are reviewed regularly
• Presentation of monthly Engineering KPI's to the Business Review
• Responsible for evaluation of engineering requirements of new projects including defining new machine/ equipment specifications.
• analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
• Managing the development of technical strategies, documents, contracts, processes, and specifications to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency in all technical engineering activities.
