Citi Markets is looking for a highly organized and dynamic professional who is ready to join a world leader in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will be supporting Citi's Multi Asset Group and wider Global Equities Business Execution team. Citi's Equities business is fast growing and the most complex product in markets, with its derivatives and structured products groups a key driver of growth, and winner of multiple industry awards.
Business Execution's role is to support the business in all strategic and day to day goals which leads to wide ranging responsibilities across business financials, controls, expense processes, third party management, data and infrastructure, reporting and more. The scope to expand knowledge and responsibilities limited only by a candidate's desire and appetite to learn.
The focus of the role will be to support EMEA business execution leads in regional / global processes and key business initiatives, and will be building out the business execution Equity Support Hub in Citi Global Markets Centre in Mumbai. This function benefits from extensive interaction with all areas of the business, front office to back office, and across functions such as finance, controls group, internal and external partners including securities services and Citi Wealth.
The Equity Support Hub prides itself in acting as a change maker in Markets and has been responsible for the creation and improvement of significant process, control, and expense efficiencies.
Role Overview:
This role will assume responsibility for administrative activities of the business. These tasks will include supporting execution of cross-Business Execution team priorities and may include ownership and contribution to ad hoc desk tasks and projects, audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Associate may assist in activities such as the tracking of business expenses, running data analysis or managing all incoming queries.
The role requires a professional who applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge and has a sense of ownership to proactively and autonomously achieve required outcomes. A candidate who continuously finds ways to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. This requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Persuasive communication and diplomacy skills are required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Third Party Invoice coding, reconciliation and management ensuring timely processing and accurate expense recognition using understanding of the underlying products and legal contracts.
- Act as owner, SME and process lead on end to end third party vendor invoice processes and tasks.
- Ownership of third-party onboarding and ongoing due diligence processes on behalf of the business execution team, working with front office business partners, control groups and, taking ownership to ensure lead times to onboard and complete controls are reduced.
- Management and running of daily reporting processes for external partners and clients.
- Maintenance and oversight of process related data.
- Monitoring and review of third-party vendor contracts with a sharp focus on expense reduction.
- Dealing with internal and external incoming queries on responsible work streams.
Knowledge/Experience
- Proven relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Operations and Reconciliations experience beneficial.
- Experience of learning new work/activities quickly and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Proficient in Excel (SQL an advantage, and experience working with large data sets beneficial.
Skills
- 5+ Years of relevant experience into financial service industry, Equities, Structuring Process.
- Confidence to engage and influence with wider internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of results.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical skills, with a strict attention to detail.
- Focused on quality of output as well as the speed of delivery.
- Ability to use own initiative, manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Enthusiastic about improving client experience.
