About the Opportunity
We're a dynamic IT services & digital solutions firm operating in the remote freelancing sector, partnering with global clients to deliver cutting-edge software, cloud, and consulting engagements. As we expand our footprint on leading freelance marketplaces, we're looking for an Upwork Proposal Specialist to drive client acquisition, boost win rates, and elevate our brand on Upwork—all while working 100% remotely from India.
Role & Responsibilities- Research and identify high-value projects on Upwork that align with our service offerings and growth targets.
- Craft tailored, persuasive proposals that showcase our technical expertise, case studies, and unique value proposition.
- Optimize and maintain our Upwork profile, portfolio, and service descriptions for maximum visibility in search results.
- Monitor and analyze proposal performance metrics (win rate, response time, ROI), and implement data-driven strategies to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to gather project requirements, success stories, and client testimonials to strengthen each proposal.
- Manage pre-contract client communications and follow-ups to ensure a seamless transition from proposal submission to project kick-off.
Must-Have
- Minimum 1 years of proven experience bidding and winning projects on Upwork or similar freelance platforms.
- Track record of achieving a 30%+ win rate on submitted proposals.
- Exceptional written English skills with strong persuasive and technical writing capabilities.
- Deep understanding of Upwork's algorithm, profile optimization techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with IT services (software development, cloud, QA) to articulate solutions effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines.
- Experience with other freelance marketplaces (Freelancer, Fiverr, Toptal).
- Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword strategies for profile and proposal discoverability.
- Hands-on experience with CRM or project management tools (Asana, Trello) for tracking opportunities.
- Prior involvement in pre-sales support, client negotiation, and contract finalization.
