At Ciena, we are dedicated to enabling innovation and transformation in the networked world. We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Opportunity Management Associate to join our team. This role is central to ensuring the seamless creation and management of opportunities within Salesforce, contributing to the success of our Service Renewal process.   • Manage and update opportunities in Salesforce with precision, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with renewal quotes, services commercial, and sales teams to collect essential information for opportunity records.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality within Salesforce by conducting regular audits and cleanup activities.
  • Implement and uphold best practices for data entry and management.
  • Partner with sales and account management teams to understand their requirements for opportunity creation.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to optimize workflows for opportunity management.
  • Generate and analyze Salesforce reports to provide actionable insights to sales leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to key performance indicators related to opportunity creation.
  • Document processes, guidelines, and best practices for opportunity creation comprehensively.
The Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with Salesforce, particularly in opportunity creation and management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with sales and account management processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insights from data.
Nice to Haves:
  • Expertise in Salesforce Administration.
  • Experience in process optimization and workflow improvement.
  • Proven ability to train and support team members on Salesforce-related tasks.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data management.
  • Prior experience in generating and interpreting Salesforce reports.
  • Familiarity with documentation standards and practices.
  • Background in working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
