We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate

Principal responsibilities

• Collaborate with model quants and other quant developers in the EQD team to develop, maintain and support the C++ and Python ecosystem of pricing and analytic libraries and the supporting infrastructure.
• Partner with the equity derivatives front office, other quants, structuring and IT teams to migrate existing and develop new pricing, marking, and trading tools for the strategic python library
• Support the SDLC automation and self-service tooling to enable application owners to on-board and release their applications with minimal overheads, including integration with CI/CD, unit and regression testing, and build tools.
• Develop and maintain Jupyter notebook services for a controlled environment to manage and run notebooks
• Package re-usable Equities Python libraries as components to be consumed across multiple applications
• Ensure compliance with HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit actions and addressing issues raised by external regulators

Qualifications 

• Proven experience in a similar role, including preferably exposure to Equity derivative products.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline, such as computer science, mathematics,
• engineering, physics or a similar quantitative field.
• Proficient in C++(at least 3 years of hands on experience) and python on both Linux and windows, including working in a large team with a large rapidly changing codebase.
• Solid experience (At least 3 years hands-on exp) of development in Python, exposure to python frameworks like Dash, Flask, FastApi.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• A disciplined approach to software development in all stages – analysis, build, test, and support - leveraging best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a global team and contribute as a strong team player.
• Capability to work independently, taking initiative, and owning projects from inception to delivery.
• Strong quantitative aptitude and problem-solving skills.
