Role Overview
As the HR and Admin Lead, you will play a vital role in shaping and managing the organisations talent and administrative operations. This position requires a dynamic professional who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, a passion for driving people-centered solutions, and the ability to foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities1. Human Resource Strategy and Leadership
Design and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the organisations mission and growth goals.
Develop talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and nurture top talent in the social impact sector.
Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design initiatives to ensure long-term sustainability.
Foster an inclusive, values-driven workplace culture that prioritises employee engagement, well-being, and professional growth.
Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring the right talent is placed in the right roles.
Implement robust performance management systems, including goal-setting, key performance indicators, feedback, and evaluation mechanisms.
Design and facilitate leadership development, training, and capacity-building programs for employees at all levels.
Create and monitor career pathways and development plans to enable employees to reach their full potential.
Ensure the smooth functioning of all administrative operations, including office management, vendor coordination, and procurement processes.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Oversee infrastructure management, including facility maintenance and technology needs.
Monitor budgets for HR and administrative functions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimisation.
Maintain compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and other legal requirements.
Mitigate organisational risks by implementing strong governance frameworks, HR policies, and data security protocols.
Act as the custodian of employee records and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Drive initiatives that promote collaboration, innovation, and a sense of shared purpose within the organisation.
Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring these principles are embedded across all HR and admin functions.
Represent the organisation externally in HR and operational forums, contributing to its thought leadership in people and process management.
Build and manage a lean, high-performing HR and admin team, setting clear objectives and driving accountability.
Mentor and empower team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Ensure alignment between team outputs and the organisations strategic priorities.
Educational Background: Advanced degree in human resources, business administration, organisational development, or a related field.
Experience: 10-12 years of progressive experience in HR and administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strategic Expertise: Proven ability to design and execute people strategies that align with organisational goals.
Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of administrative processes, vendor management, and compliance frameworks.
Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and managing diverse teams, driving results, and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, growing organisation.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS systems, project management tools, and office productivity software.
