Role: IT Manager
The IT Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all IT-related activities within the organization. This includes managing IT infrastructure, ensuring data security, supporting end-users, and leading the IT team to align technology solutions with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, servers, and networks.
- Ensure reliable operation of IT systems, including internet, email, ERP, and office applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
2. Data Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place (firewalls, antivirus, access control, etc.).
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations related to IT.
3. IT Support & Service Management
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage IT helpdesk activities and ensure timely resolution of user problems.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement, maintenance, and support.
4. IT Strategy & Planning
- Align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Identify and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare IT budgets, control expenses, and optimize costs.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and supervise IT staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Provide training and knowledge-sharing to enhance IT team skills.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and fulfill their IT requirements.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of IT assets, licenses, and warranties.
- Document system configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on IT performance, issues, and improvements.
