What we are looking for: We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and data analytics/reporting to lead a high-performing BI team.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide developers, manage delivery pipelines, and ensure that BI solutions meet technical and business expectations at scale. You will oversee reporting initiatives

across multiple business domains, drive governance and strategy, and partner with stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and performant reporting solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Delivery

• Lead a team of BI developers, analysts, and data engineers to deliver scalable Power BI and

Fabric-based analytics solutions.

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of reporting projects from requirement gathering to deployment

and user enablement.

• Define sprint goals, manage work intake, and ensure deliverables align with stakeholder

expectations.

• Conduct code reviews and performance optimization sessions for Power BI datasets, DAX logic,

and Fabric pipelines.

• Technical Strategy & Governance

• Drive BI strategy, governance, and standards for semantic models, dataflows, and workspaces in

Power BI Service and Fabric.

• Define and implement best practices for dataset design, RLS, refresh cadence, and workspace

management.

• Collaborate with architects on scalable data modelling and Fabric Lakehouse integrations.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to Power BI refresh failures, gateway configuration, or

model performance.

• Stakeholder & Project Management

• Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting goals, and analytical priorities.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and project timelines.
• Act as a bridge between business and engineering teams, ensuring clarity and transparency

throughout delivery.

• Manage project risks, dependencies, and resource allocations while tracking deliverables via

ADO or Jira.

• Operational Excellence

• Monitor and review report usage metrics, ensuring performance and adoption targets are

achieved.

• Implement continuous improvement frameworks for BI assets and drive data quality validation

cycles.

• Coordinate with security, privacy, and compliance teams to align with Microsoft data

governance policies.

Technical Skills:

• 812 years of experience in data analytics, BI delivery, or technical project management roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, RLS, composite models, and Fabric

integration).

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture, Lakehouse, Dataflows, and semantic models.

• Experience managing large-scale data/reporting projects involving multiple stakeholders and crossfunctional

teams.

• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira for Agile project tracking and sprint management.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in leading distributed BI or analytics teams.

• Background in Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, and related storage or

reporting integrations).

• Understanding of data governance frameworks, security groups, and access management.

• PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification preferred.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
