  • Job profile & Responsivities : Core Expectations:

This is a critical senior leadership role Cotton Procurement Specialistwhich will be absolutely pivotal in driving our strategic cotton sourcing initiatives. The final title (GM, Sr.GM, or VP) will be determined based on the candidate's interview and experience. Our client is primarily looking for a seasoned sourcing expert with 15+ years of experience in procurement, ideally from a cotton background. We are also open to considering professionals from agro-commodities or other commodity sectors if they bring exceptional sourcing expertise.

  • Sourcing & Market Acumen:
  • Strong exposure to international hedging.
  • Sound understanding of global and domestic price movements.
  • Proven ability to track market dynamics and anticipate pricing trends.
  • Leadership & Structure:
  • Will be leading a team of around 12-15 people.
  • This position reports directly to the Chairman and Vice Chairman.
  • Mindset & Profile:
  • Must possess a digital and analytical mindset, leveraging data and technology in sourcing decisions. Prior involvement in a digital transformation project is a strong advantage.
  • Preferably in the 30–40 age bracket (someone who has fast-tracked to a senior position), bringing fresh perspectives and agility. Candidates above 40 with strong, relevant experience and mindset will also be considered.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivating Strategic Partnerships: Establish deep relationships with ginners to ensure a consistent, quality, and traceable cotton supply.
  • Driving Cost Optimization: Lead strategic sourcing efforts, conduct skillful negotiations, and leverage robust market intelligence to achieve superior cost efficiencies.
  • Ensuring Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (e.g., Production, Quality Control) to align procurement strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Providing Strategic Foresight: Proactively monitor global and local cotton market trends, pricing volatility, and government policies to continuously inform and adapt our strategy.
  • Championing Sustainability: Implement and promote best practices in sustainable sourcing, including securing BCI and organic cotton.
