About VerveUni

VerveUni is an early-stage education startup reimagining how India learns English — using Virtual Reality (VR).

Our mission is to make English-speaking confidence accessible to every student and professional through immersive, real-life VR experiences like interviews, cafés, and public speaking scenarios.

We are currently pre-funding and building our first VR lesson prototype using Unity and the Google Cardboard SDK.

Position Overview

We're looking for a technical co-founder / Unity developer who's excited to build something from the ground up — not just take a job.

This is a zero-salary, equity-based position until funding is raised.

If you're tired of regular work and want to be part of something ambitious — building India's first VR English learning company — this is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Develop immersive VR lessons in Unity using Google Cardboard SDK.
  • Work directly with the founder on product design and prototype creation.
  • Contribute to core architecture for voice interaction, AI NPCs, and user feedback systems.
  • Help shape VerveUni's technical roadmap and long-term product vision.
  • Be a key voice in early product, user testing, and team-building decisions.

Who Should Apply

  • You have solid experience in Unity 3D + C#.
  • You understand or are eager to learn VR SDKs (Google Cardboard, XR Toolkit, OpenXR).
  • You can dedicate consistent time each week to build.
  • You're not currently in a full-time job (or willing to leave one soon).
  • You're hungry to build, not just earn — you want ownership and impact.
  • You're comfortable working with no fixed salary initially — only equity.

Bonus Points If

  • You've built or prototyped a VR app before.
  • You've integrated Unity projects with Firebase or similar backends.
  • You love edtech or want to make a difference in how people learn.

Compensation

  • Actual Compensation: 5–10% equity (vesting-based)
  • Salary begins post-funding or after pilot validation.
