Position Overview The Manager – Training (Operations) will support the Head – Training (Operations) in designing, developing, and executing national training programs for Blue Dart's operations staff. This role is responsible for content creation, program management, assessments, and innovative learning interventions to build operational capability across hubs, branches, and last-mile teams and overall Operations.
Job Purpose To ensure that operational training programs are structured, impactful, and measurable by focusing on content development, program rollout, and adoption of modern learning practices such as gamification and digital learning. The role drives consistency ensures assessment-led improvement, and provides insights on training effectiveness linked to service quality.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Training Strategy & Content Development
- Develop engaging training content including digital modules, manuals, and gamified learning formats.
- Refresh and align training materials with operational process updates and regulatory requirements.
- Benchmark against industry best practices to ensure competitive training design.
- Manage the national training calendar, logistics, and scheduling.
- Support delivery of classroom, virtual, and blended learning sessions.
- Partner with regional teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Design and implement post-training assessments and quizzes.
- Track effectiveness of programs against service quality and productivity KPIs.
- Generate dashboards and reports for senior management.
- Introduce digital learning platforms, gamification, and simulation-based training.
- Drive learner engagement through contests, leaderboards, and recognition programs.
- Pilot innovative training tools to improve retention and application.
- Work closely with regional Ops and HR teams to identify training needs.
- Align regional training interventions with national frameworks.
- Support TOM (Target Operating Model) implementation by embedding new processes in training.
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Postgraduate in Training & Development, Business, or Operations preferred.
- Certifications in Instructional Design, Training Delivery, or Digital Learning tools an advantage.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in training design, content development, program management, and assessments within logistics, courier, supply chain, or related industries.
- Proven record of designing impactful training with measurable business outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations (hub, gateway, pickup & delivery, linehaul).
- Proficiency in digital content creation tools and LMS platforms.
- Familiarity with gamification and simulation learning approaches.
- Strong program management and organizational skills.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Creative, innovative approach to training and capability building.
