Our scope of operations covers National , Regional and Intra-state routes and our services will include Full Truck Load, Part Truck Load on a ad-hoc vehicle placements across different vehicle size categories. Operationally, we will be working on Hybrid model i.e. own and attached fleet as that gives us the critical control required to deliver a highly consistent and reliable service.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee our fleet operations, particularly focusing on cold chain trucks. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for ensuring efficient and compliant operation of our fleet, including service scheduling, driver management, cost control measures, customer interaction & P&L.

Role Description

1. Manage and optimize the daily operation of cold chain trucks, ensuring adherence to service schedules and operation standards

2. Hire, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring availability and readiness at assigned trucks.

3. Ensure timely release and accurate reporting of daily route expenses, including diesel, road and food allowances.

4.  Monitor and evaluate trip performances based on actual metrics (mileage, reefer hours, TAT, shortages) against planned targets.

5.  Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, sharing trip results with drivers, customers, and senior management.

6.  Coordinate closely with customers, drivers, finance, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

7.  Implement and maintain safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.

8.  Identify areas for operational improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance
  • Experience in fleet management or logistics
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and report preparation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fleet management software
