About the Role
The Head of Admissions will play a critical role in shaping the student body by leading the entire admissions function. This includes developing and executing admission strategies, managing the applicant funnel, ensuring transparency and fairness in the process, and building strong relationships with students and parents. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and empathetic communication.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Leadership
- Design and implement annual admissions strategy in alignment with institutional goals.
- Forecast admission targets and ensure they are achieved.
- Lead, train, and motivate the admissions team to deliver on targets with quality.
- Monitor and report on admissions performance to leadership, including funnel analysis, conversion metrics, and process improvements.
2. Admissions Process Management
- Implement and maintain admissions software/CRM systems for data tracking and reporting.
- Continuously refine processes to improve applicant experience.
3. Student & Parent Counseling
- Oversee counseling efforts to guide students and parents through academic offerings, career outcomes, and institutional strengths.
- Address concerns and objections empathetically, ensuring clarity and trust in decision-making.
- Provide personalized support for high-potential applicants and their families.
4. Scholarships & Financial Aid
- Define and manage scholarship/financial aid policies.
- Ensure transparent communication of eligibility and disbursal processes.
- Monitor impact of scholarships on student diversity, quality, and overall intake.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to all institutional, national, and accreditation requirements.
- Establish and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
- Implement robust quality checks at every stage of admissions.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with academic teams to understand curriculum and outcomes for effective pitching.
- Coordinate with marketing for lead generation and branding campaigns.
- Collaborate with student success and placement teams to showcase success stories in admissions efforts.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in Education, Management, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 6–8 years of experience in admissions, student recruitment, or higher education leadership.
- Proven track record of meeting admissions/enrollment targets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze and optimize processes.
- Empathy and cultural sensitivity in engaging with students and parents.
