Duties and Responsibilities:

Conceptualize material handling solutions and Grippers.

  • Design the material handling equipment using 3D design software and 2D software's.

  • Make detailed part drawings of the designed system.

  • Make 2 D layouts along with simulation for the material handling equipment designed.

  • Make calculations using Strength of material fundamentals and using software.

  • Select appropriate bought out components and pneumatic components from Festo , SMC etc.

  • Make detailed part drawings, showing dimensional tolerances and geometrical tolerances. Specify surface finish, heat treatment etc.

  • Create error free Bill of material with regards to item numbers and quantities.

  • Make necessary entries in ERP.

  • Discuss in detail with the design manager and get involved in customer discussion for the approval process, make the MOM and implement suggestions of the customer.

  • Provide support to assembly team as necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:

Hands on experience of using 3D designing software's and Auto cad.

  • written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and concept development skills.

  • Strong computer and mathematical skills

  • Experience of designing industry-specific products, Material handling systems,SPMs

  • Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative

Education:

Education – BE / ME (Mechanical, Production), Diploma in Mechanical and Productioncan also be opted with experience.

Experience :-

2 to 5 years in relevant field
