Role Overview:

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, or systems from concept to production. This role involves creating and reviewing 2D and 3D models using SolidEdge, AutoCAD, and other CAD tools. The engineer ensures all designs meet functional, cost, and manufacturability requirements while adhering to industry standards. The position also includes cross-functional collaboration, design validation, and mentoring junior engineers, playing a key role in driving design efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review 2D/3D designs using SolidEdge and AutoCAD.
  • Lead mechanical design projects from concept to production.
  • Ensure design compliance with functionality, manufacturability, and cost targets.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design-related issues.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers on CAD tools and design standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and standardization in design processes.

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Civil
  • Experience Required: 2–3 years

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SolidEdge, AutoCAD, and engineering drawing standards.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and DFM concepts.
  • Experience in BOM creation, design documentation, and version control.
  • Understanding of FEA tools and basic design validation.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and design workflows.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Clear and effective communication (verbal and written).
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities within a design team.
  • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional coordination.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time and project management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
