Role & responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new prospects, clients, and business opportunities within the water sector (utilities, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and industrial end users).
  • Achieve annual and quarterly sales targets for water treatment systems, instrumentation, SCADA, pumps, filtration, and chemicals.
  • Create detailed technical proposals and solutions tailored to client-specific needs; participate in tendering and bidding processes.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, distributors, and project developers.
  • Conduct product and solution presentations, demonstrations, and technical trainings for customers and channel partners.
  • Monitor market and competitor trends; collect customer feedback for product and service improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with all industry regulations, and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closure and after-sales support.
  • Provide technical support in pre-sales and post-sales phases.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar field); Masters is a plus.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in the Indian water/wastewater industry.
  • Profound knowledge of water treatment processes, products, or automation systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and deliver on targets.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across assigned territories.
  • Self-driven, analytical, and able to work independently and in teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling to municipal and industrial water utilities.
  • Familiarity with technical solution selling, project sales, or public tenders.
  • Industry connections to channel partners, consultants, and EPCs in India.
