Training & Placement
to play a strategic and execution-focused role in strengthening the university's industry connect, placement activities, and career development initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with industry partners, facilitating internships and job placements for students, and ensuring data-driven decision-making through continuous analysis of placement records, market trends, and employer feedback. This mid-senior level role demands excellent networking, relationship management, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Ø
Industry Connect & Relationship Management –
o Build and sustain strong relationships with local, national, and international companies to facilitate meaningful internships and full-time job opportunities for students.
o Act as the university's point of contact for industry outreach, employer partnerships, and corporate tie-ups.
o Regularly interact with industry representatives to understand hiring needs, market expectations, and emerging trends.
o Organize and coordinate company visits, MoUs', and collaborative initiatives with industry partners.

Placement and Internship Facilitation:
o Identify prospective recruiters and engage them for campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and off-campus hiring opportunities.
o Coordinate the end-to-end execution of internship and placement processes, ensuring smooth communication between students, recruiters, and internal teams.
o Collect and manage internship and placement offers, joining updates, and feedback from both students and employers.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Collect, maintain, and analyse comprehensive data related to student placements, internship participation, job market trends, and employer satisfaction.
o Prepare periodic reports and dashboards for university leadership, highlighting key metrics, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.

Alumni Engagement:
o Leverage the university's alumni network to facilitate networking opportunities, mentorship programs, guest lectures, and job referrals.
o Build structured programs to engage alumni as career mentors and industry advisors for current students.
Qualifications
Engineering degree from a leading national/international management School.
Professional experience:
- Minimum 12-15 years' experience in industry/corporate organizations of which at least 3-5 years should be at the Middle Management level.
- Candidates with experience from the education institutions/sector and the service sector will be preferred.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills with an ability to adapt to changing job market conditions.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong industry network and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in placement software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines efficiently.
