Role & responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery:
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication about project status, timelines, and resource allocation.
Agile & Scrum Leadership:
- Lead Agile and Scrum practices, facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups, ensuring teams are aligned with project objectives and timelines.
- Act as Scrum Master or Agile Coach for project teams, promoting continuous improvement in process and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to Agile principles, helping teams manage backlogs, prioritize tasks, and deliver iterative results.
- Foster an environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and transparency among team members.
Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse technical team of engineers, developers, and other resources to ensure project success.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in areas such as system architecture, design, and implementation.
- Oversee the technical aspects of project planning and execution, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security protocols.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of complex systems and software solutions, providing innovative technical solutions where needed.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders, including clients, product managers, and other business units.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of the project, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with the project goals, scope, and timelines.
AWS and Cloud Management:
- Lead cloud-based deployments and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other AWS services.
- Optimize system architecture for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation, including system designs, technical specifications, user manuals, and deployment guides.
- Regularly report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
- Continuously improve processes for project management, deployment, and technical execution.
Tools and Software:
- Leverage project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Asana for tracking sprints, managing backlogs, and ensuring visibility across teams.
- Utilize CI/CD tools and practices to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience:
- Proven experience in a technical management role, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
- Solid hands-on technical experience in system architecture, software development, and deployment.
- Expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS (Amazon Web Services), with a solid understanding of services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and networking.
- Experience in full project lifecycle management, from planning and development to deployment and post-launch support.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in designing and implementing technical architectures and systems.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with coding languages (e.g., React, Python, , , PHP, , Block Chain ) and web frameworks.
- Strong understanding of databases, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Leadership & Management:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and engage stakeholders.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality projects within specified timelines and budgets.
Agile Expertise:
- Strong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and tools like JIRA for sprint tracking and task management.
- Experience in Scrum Master or Agile Coach roles and an ability to drive Agile maturity across teams.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Kanban, Scrum, and XP.
Certifications:
- AWS certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.) are a plus.
- PMP or Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
