C.V. Raman Global University (CGU), Odisha started in 1997 as a degree-level engineering college, named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE). With 25 Centres of Excellence set up in collaboration with industry leaders across the board, the university today has over 20 start-ups working under its AIC & TBI incubation centre.

• Ms. Manisha Padhi, alumni of CGU have been appointed as the ADC to The Honble Governor of Mizoram in 2023 and became the first ever female to hold the position.
• Ms. Swagatika Mohanty, Civil Engineering , has bagged the 15th rank in Odisha Civil Services Exam in 2023 and is now a functional, respectable, responsible OAS.
• Safia Aktar, Anshu Kumari, and Radhika Rani Panda won the 1st prize at 10-Hour Women Hackathon organised by Trithon Triplets 2k23.
• Abhishek Kumar, B.Tech (ECE) awarded the Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar at Odisha Technological Conclave, 2023.
• Mr. Praveen Giri won the Silver Medal in the area of Water Technology at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• Mr. Subrat Patel won Medallion of Excellence in the area of Restaurant Services at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• 9 students represented India in World skills 2022 in 7 various Skills.
• CGU won Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022 in Software Edition.

About CGU BEST Centre

Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Bajaj Auto Ltd. dedicated to bridging the critical skills gap in the manufacturing sector. The CGU BEST centre is a collaborative effort to provide hands-on skill development programs for the young individuals, enhancing their employability.

Where You Come In

The Technical Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality training programs for Diploma and Degree engineer trainees on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing ,Robotics,IIOT,Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Computer Vision, Augmented Reality & Visual Reality, Manufacturing Execution System, Automation & Motion control & Sensor technology. The technical trainer will support the smooth operation of BEST-Centre of Excellence by preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring a safe and organized learning environment, and assisting trainers and trainees during theory and practical sessions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Course Material Preparation:

• Designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality training programs for Diploma and Degree engineer trainees on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing, Robotics and Automation , Motion control & Sensor technology and mechatronics.

2. Laboratory Preparation and Maintenance:

• Set up laboratory equipment, tools, and materials as required for training sessions.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and in proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of lab tools and equipment.

3. Support for Training Activities:

• Assist trainers and trainees during practical demonstrations and experiments.
• Provide guidance to trainees on the proper use of tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Monitor ongoing training activities to ensure adherence to safety guidelines.

4. Inventory Management:

• Maintain an inventory of lab supplies, tools, and materials.
• Request procurement of additional supplies and equipment when necessary.
• Organize and label equipment and materials for easy access.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure the lab complies with safety and health regulations.
• Regularly inspect and address potential hazards within the lab.
• Provide first aid assistance if required and respond promptly to emergencies.

6. Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Document safety checks and report any issues to supervisors.

7. General Support:

• Provide administrative support for lab-related training programs.
• Collaborate with trainers and administrative staff to enhance the training experience.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to lab equipment.

Who Are We Looking For

• Minimum set Qualification: B.Tech in Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/Electrical / Electronics/ ECE/EIE/EEE/ETE , with a first-class career throughout.
• Experience: 1 Year (Skill Training Centre)
