Role Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of EKAMs back-end operations, with a focus on warehouse efficiency, accurate inventory control, billing and invoicing, timely shipment handling, packing and filling oversight, and close coordination with the production team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution to support EKAMs growth in the premium home fragrance and lifestyle category.

Key Responsibilities

1. Packing & Filling Management

  • Supervise product packing and filling operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor quality checks during packing to maintain brand standards.
  • Coordinate manpower allocation for large orders and seasonal spikes.
  • Ensure packing materials and supplies are always available in alignment with demand.
  • Work with production to optimize packing workflows and reduce wastage.

2. Warehouse Management

  • Oversee overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
  • Ensure proper space utilization, stock arrangement, and safety protocols.
  • Implement best practices for reducing damages, shrinkage, and delays.

3. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate stock levels across all product categories.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
  • Implement inventory management systems and optimize reorder levels.
  • Coordinate with sales and production to forecast demand and manage supply.

4. Billing & Invoicing

  • Supervise the generation of invoices for B2B, B2C, and modern trade partners.
  • Ensure compliance with GST and other regulatory requirements.
  • Streamline billing processes for accuracy and efficiency.

5. Shipment & Logistics Management

  • Oversee order fulfillment across e-commerce, modern trade, and distributors.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of shipments and manage last-mile delivery partners.
  • Track and resolve logistics-related issues including delays and damages.
  • Negotiate with logistics providers to optimize costs and delivery timelines.

6. Coordination with Production

  • Align demand forecasts with production schedules.
  • Monitor lead times for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Provide operational insights to improve production planning and efficiency.

  • Experience with SAP, ERP systems, WMS, and billing software.

  • Leadership skills to manage warehouse staff, packing team, and external partners.
