Essential Capabilities

•SAP Solution Architecture, SAP Solution Design, S4HANA Migration, Technology Architecture, Infrastructure etc.
•Extensive knowledge of SAP ABAP, ABAP OO, SAP UI5 technology (e.g. Javascript framework, OData services, backend components), Workflows, Solution Manager, SAP PI/PO, Scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M), Integration frameworks (e.g. IDocs, BAPI, Proxies, CI9, CIG) etc.
•Shape solution design, provide design inputs with insights to ensure strategic alignment with architecture.
•Extensive knowledge of Business system architectures and Technology Solutions design, assessment, estimations, impact analysis and evaluations
•Understanding of business strategy and defining technology needs and facilitating requirements
•Evaluating solution options and choices in enabling business outcomes
•Ability to design, co-ordinate and implement complex technical changes
•Govern SAP development standards and optimise custom code
•Clear view on and understanding of SAP development roadmap
•Alignment with strategic roadmaps set by the Enterprise Architecture team.
•Collaborate with Business, Governance, Architects, Functional Design Leads, Security, Solution Experts, Platforms, Partners, Developers and Third Parties.
•Integration with other technology areas and assessment of the impact on SAP such as development, extensibility, integration, security, user experience
•Translating business requirements into technically sound design specifications, including system architecture, data flows, and process mappings.

•Ability to provide knowledge transfer to team members to enable on-going support and train end users
•Able to work effectively in a team with technology partners, located onshore/offshore, providing leadership and extensive expertise in optimising delivery models.

Experience

It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following experience:

•Successfully completed multiple full lifecycle projects as a lead SAP Technical Design Lead
•10-15 Years proven experience as SAP Technical Design Lead
•Extensive experience in SAP ABAP, UI5 technologies, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Integration frameworks, Scheduling frameworks etc.
•S4HANA Migration/Transformation experience
•Deep expertise (10 years+) Understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS etc), Hyperscalers, Private Cloud, etc
•Solid understanding of current and emerging SAP technology trends around SAP ECC 6 and S/4 Hana
•Functional experience in self-serve applications is desirable
•Experienced in an onshore/offshore delivery model
•Experience in writing and understanding custom codes for SAP applications
•Appreciation and broad experience across technology disciplines, business processes, information architecture and industry best practices.

Qualification Requirements

•Degree or tertiary education in Technology/Computing discipline preferred
•Certifications in SAP

Key Accountabilities

•Shape, design, develop, document, test, deploy SAP admin changes

•Work with the team to deliver on backlog

Key Performance Indicators

•Take assigned initiatives from inception to successful change deployment, with focus of on time delivery and high-quality outcomes (zero incident implementation)

•Support and resolution of any Production support incidents should they arise through hypercare
•Stakeholder engagement –  recognised as 'trusted advisor' to the business
•Voice of the colleague – positive stakeholder feedback for role in successful delivery
