Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the marketplace operations to ensure smooth operations and efficient execution of tasks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and increase revenue within the marketplace.
  • Monitor marketplace performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of marketplace operations with other departments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketplace operations.
  • Handle escalated issues and provide timely resolutions to maintain a positive user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a marketplace environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and optimizing operations within a marketplace setting.

Technical Skills:

  • Marketplace Platform Management: Expertise in managing e-commerce/marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, Myntra, etc.).
  • Operations Management: Strong understanding of end-to-end operations including order fulfillment, vendor management, logistics, and SLA adherence.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to monitor KPIs and optimize performance.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of inventory control systems, procurement processes, and demand forecasting.
  • Process Optimization: Ability to identify process gaps and implement automation or workflow improvements for efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics & KPIs: Experience defining, tracking, and analyzing key marketplace metrics (conversion rates, customer satisfaction, seller performance, etc.).
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Jira, Trello) and methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • CRM & ERP Tools: Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce, Zoho) and ERP systems for operational integration.
  • Digital Marketing & SEO (Preferred): Understanding of traffic acquisition, online merchandising, and promotional strategy on marketplace platforms.
  • Technical Collaboration: Ability to work with product/tech teams to improve platform functionality and user experience.
