About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong finance background to join our team for a strategic initiative focused on automating external financial disclosure reporting. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technology team, ensuring the successful delivery of a robust, compliant, and scalable reporting automation product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with finance, risk, and compliance stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements for external financial reporting.
• Develop comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) aligned with regulatory and disclosure standards.
• Translate complex financial reporting needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for the development team.
• Lead and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and Data Validation activities to ensure solution accuracy and completeness.
• Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and go-live deployment activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in financial reporting, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide post-deployment support and issue resolution during the stabilization phase.

Required Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the finance domain, with a strong focus on external financial reporting.
• Proven track record of delivering at least two end-to-end projects involving financial disclosure automation or similar regulatory reporting solutions.
• Deep understanding of financial statements, disclosures, and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, reconciliation, and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with financial systems, data warehouses, and reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong Finance Domain Knowledge
• Should be able to write FSD ( Functional Specification Document)
• Effective Communicator and team player.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of financial data modelling and automation tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based reporting platforms or enterprise finance systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workiva).
