Job Summary:

Mejora Infotech is a fast-growing IT services company based in Kolkata, specializing in software development, cloud solutions, and enterprise applications. Mejora Infotech is urgently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the development of a microservices-based Java Spring Boot application. The role requires strong expertise in Agile project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively between technical teams and clients. The Project Manager will ensure the project progresses smoothly, meets all milestones on time, and maintains high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution:

• Plan, organize, and oversee the end-to-end development of the microservice-based application.
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
• Ensure efficient execution of project milestones and adherence to deadlines.

Agile Project Management:

• Lead Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with the team to manage sprint backlogs and ensure task prioritization.
• Monitor team performance and velocity to drive continuous improvement.

Team Coordination & Task Management:

• Assign and track daily tasks to team members including developers, testers, analysts, and server administrators.
• Monitor daily work progress, identify project blockers proactively, and drive solutions.
• Motivate and guide the team to achieve quality and timely project outcomes.
• Motivate team members, recognize contributions, and actively participate in their performance appraisal and professional development.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the main point of contact between clients and the development team.
• Conduct regular online meetings with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.
• Maintain strong client relationships through transparent communication and consistent delivery.
• Provide progress reports and status updates to stakeholders.

CI/CD & Cloud Coordination:

• Work closely with the DevOps and server admin teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment processes.
• Monitor project environments on AWS and coordinate for issue resolution or optimization when necessary.

Risk & Quality Management:

• Identify potential project risks early and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and follow best practices.
• Proactively address potential bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery timelines.
• Ensure adherence to coding best practices, enforce project documentation standards, and maintain knowledge repositories.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification: Scrum Master certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management with at least 2 years in a Scrum Master role.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS).
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and guide the team when required.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience managing teams using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
