Founders

RISA was founded by Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang, IIT Kanpur alumni with a proven track record from their previous healthcare startup, Urban Health. Their vision is to streamline oncology care through cutting-edge technology.

Funding

RISA Labs is backed by $3.5 million in seed funding, led by Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, with support from Oncology Ventures, General Catalyst, z21 Ventures, Odd Bird VC, and angel investor Ashish Gupta.

Role Overview

As a Finance Associate at Risa Labs, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, compliance, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and reconciliations. You will support revenue operations and prepare MIS reports to provide financial insights that drive business decisions. This role is ideal for someone with a CA background and 1 to 2 years of experience who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to the financial backbone of a fast-paced, high-growth startup.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
  • Support revenue operations (RevOps), ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting
  • Process vendor payments and maintain accurate records of payables
  • Prepare and process customer invoices, track receivables, and coordinate timely vendor payments
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and dashboards to provide financial insights for leadership decision-making
  • Handle reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer) to maintain accurate financial records
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, legal) to streamline finance processes and improve efficiency

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles
  • CA qualification is mandatory (has completed all levels - Foundation + Intermediate + Final and Articleship)
  • Strong background in accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets); familiarity with accounting/ERP tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of compliance, tax basics (India & US), and reconciliations
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, problem-solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment
