Business Development Internship

About the Role
Toruss is a global design studio helping businesses grow through branding, web design, and creative strategy. We're looking for an enthusiastic and sharp intern to help us identify potential clients and support our cold outreach initiatives.
You'll work closely with the leadership team to research high-potential companies, build prospect lists, and send personalized cold emails to generate discovery calls for our design services.
This is a great learning opportunity for anyone interested in business development, sales strategy, or marketing within the creative industry.
Your Responsibilities
Lead Identification
- Research and shortlist SaaS companies, tech startups, product businesses, and design-focused firms globally
- Use platforms like LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Clutch, Behance, and others
- Create a lead tracker with company info, contact names, email IDs, website, and relevant notes
Email Outreach
- Write and send personalized cold emails (templates provided + training included)
- Track open rates, responses, and follow-ups using sheets or CRM tools
- Help schedule discovery calls for the founder or sales lead
Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain a clean and updated outreach tracker
- Provide weekly summary reports of outreach outcomes
- Coordinate basic follow-ups and calendar invites

- Have strong written English and are confident writing short, persuasive emails
- Are organized and detail-oriented
- Are curious about marketing, communication, design, or startups
- Have some exposure to Google Sheets, LinkedIn, or research tools (or are willing to learn)
- Are self-motivated and excited to build real-world experience
