Vijay Cotton & Fibre Co. LLP is a third-generation family-owned company, established in 1946, specializing in cotton ginning, merchandising, and exporting Indian raw cotton and cotton waste. Based in Indore, we are a Government of India Recognized Star Export House and prominent suppliers of Indian cotton to major international merchants. Since 2015, we have been committed to sustainable cotton and are certified traders of Organic, BCI, and RegenAgri. Recently, we partnered with the Aid by Trade Foundation, Germany, as the Implementing and Marketing Partner for the Regenerative Cotton Standard (RCS) in India.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sustainable Cotton Manager located in Indore. The Sustainable Cotton Manager will be responsible for overseeing sustainable cotton initiatives, managing relationships with certification bodies, and ensuring compliance with organic, BCI, and regenerative agricultural standards. Daily tasks include coordinating with farmers and suppliers, implementing sustainable practices, monitoring crop conditions, and managing documentation for certifications. The role will involve frequent field visits and collaboration with international partners.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Organic, BCI, and RegenAgri standards
  • Experience in agricultural management and sustainable practices
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage documentation and ensure compliance with certification requirements
  • Proficiency in project management and coordination
  • Ability to work independently and handle field work
  • Experience in the cotton industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field
