In this capacity, we provide essential SAP platform services, including SAP BASIS administration, comprehensive security management, expert architectural leadership, SAP BTP development support, and robust governance frameworks.

Job Description –

We are currently looking to expand our team with a highly skilled Senior SAP BASIS & BTP Platform Expert to lead and support the administration, provisioning, and ongoing operations of our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) landscape and its critical services.

About the Role –

As a Senior SAP BASIS & BTP Platform Expert, you will be a pivotal member of the Ford PS&L SAP Platform services PDO. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our SAP BTP environment, acting as the primary point of contact for technical operations related to the platform and its integrated services. This role requires deep hands-on experience in SAP BASIS principles applied to cloud environments, with a strong focus on BTP account and subaccount management, service provisioning, connectivity, monitoring, and supporting key BTP technologies such as Integration Suite, CALM, Datasphere, SAC, and Build Workzone. You will collaborate closely with development, architecture, and application teams to enable seamless and secure cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities –

• Design, implement, and manage SAP BTP global accounts, directories, and subaccounts, ensuring optimal structure and resource allocation.
• Provision, configure, and administer a wide range of SAP BTP services. This includes working with and providing technical support for services like SAP Integration Suite (IS) (e.g., Cloud Integration, API Management), SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM), SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Build Workzone, among others.
• Establish and maintain secure connectivity between SAP BTP and on-premise/other cloud systems using technologies like SAP Cloud Connector, VPN, and Private Link.
• Monitor the health, performance, and resource consumption of SAP BTP services and underlying infrastructure, implementing proactive measures for optimization.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues related to BTP services, connectivity, and performance.
• Manage BTP entitlements, quotas, and service instances efficiently.
• Implement and maintain BTP security best practices, including trust configurations, destination management, and principal propagation from a technical BASIS perspective.
  • Automate BTP operations and administration tasks using tools and scripting (e.g., BTP CLI, APIs).
• Collaborate with architects and development teams on BTP solution design, deployment strategies, and operational readiness.
• Stay current with SAP BTP innovations, roadmaps, and evolving cloud platform administration best practices.

SAP BASIS and HANA Database Administration.

Required Skills & Qualifications –

• Minimum of 10 years of SAP BASIS experience, with at least 3-5 years of dedicated hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) administration and operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with provisioning, configuring, and administering a variety of SAP BTP services. This should include expertise in several key services, for example, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM), SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or SAP Build Workzone.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP architecture, global accounts, subaccounts, environments (Cloud Foundry, Kyma), and services.
• Proficient in setting up and managing SAP Cloud Connector and other BTP connectivity options.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (e.g., networking, compute, storage) and their application within BTP.
• Experience with BTP CLI and BTP APIs for automation and scripting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA integration with BTP and hybrid landscape administration.
• S/4 HANA and HANA DB Hands-On Knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications –

• At least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Relevant certifications in SAP BTP (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry Environment or specific service certifications).
• Experience with hyperscaler cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) underlying BTP.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools for BTP (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git).
• Experience with identity and access management concepts within BTP (e.g., IAS, role collections).
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell, JavaScript) for automation.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management in a cloud context.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
