Role Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished and technically strong Quality Lead to lead the quality function in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in composite manufacturing, a strong command of aerospace certification standards, and a proven ability to lead audits, ensure compliance, and embed a quality-first culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement the organization's quality strategy in alignment with aerospace standards and business goals.
  • Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all functions.

Composite Manufacturing Quality Oversight

  • Provide hands-on leadership in quality assurance for composite materials and processes, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Ensuring the Quality control of our end of end manufacturing & in-process controls as per the expected standards.

Certification & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with aerospace certifications such as AS9100, NADCAP, and regulatory bodies like DGCA, FAA, and EASA.
  • Maintain readiness for audits and certification renewals.

Audit Management

  • Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Drive root cause analysis and timely closure of non-conformities with effective corrective actions.

Process Quality & Improvements

  • Develop and enhance quality systems across manufacturing, design, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Implement quality tools and methodologies to improve process reliability and product integrity.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Establish supplier quality standards, conduct audits, and manage vendor qualification and performance.

Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the quality team.
  • Build a pipeline of future quality leaders through structured development programs.

Customer Interface

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, escalations, and resolution management.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate documentation of quality processes and maintain traceability.
  • Generate quality dashboards and reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.

Risk Management

  • Identify quality risks across the product lifecycle and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Advanced certifications in Quality Management or Aerospace Quality Systems preferred.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification highly desirable.
  • Experience with NADCAP audits and compliance is a strong plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in quality assurance.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace or defence sector.
  • Hands-on experience with composite materials, manufacturing processes, and quality inspections.
  • Proven success in managing audits and maintaining aerospace certifications.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of aerospace QMS (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP).
  • Proficient in quality tools: FMEA, 8D, SPC, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP-based quality tracking and digital quality systems.
  • Understanding of aerospace-grade materials and regulatory frameworks.

  • High attention to detail with a proactive, strategic mindset.
