Research - Data Team Lead

Your team

UBS Evidence Lab is the most experienced global team of alternative data experts. We're a collection of data and software engineers, quantitative market researchers, social media experts, data pricing whizzes, and more. This diversity allows us to look at problems from differing perspectives and turn data into evidence.
You'll be working closely with various Data Analyst teams, which are a part of a street-leading primary research platform called Evidence Lab. Your role will be focused on ability to systematically analyze and build statistical models on companies and markets that Evidence Lab does research on. Your main goal is to give insights for better business decisions. Our offices are located Globally and you will be working closely with analysts based out of Poland, US, UK, and APAC. You would be required to work from UBS BSC Hyderabad (India).

Your expertise

• data processing and programming skills in Python including knowledge of libraries used for data analysis / data science,

• experience in data analysis and data science techniques,

• knowledge of statistical and econometric techniques: time series (stationarity), clustering, regression, variable methods selection, out of sample testing,

• good practical understanding of SQL,

• understanding of NLP techniques would be a benefit,

• the ability to deliver under time pressure and work independently,

• excellent written and oral English

• high degree of proactivity and creativity

• willingness to collaborate and work in a team

• ability to take ownership of projects and processes for continuous improvement

• excellent attention to detail

• team management

• flexible approach on working hours and work timings
