Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Identification & Evaluation: Identify and qualify suppliers for aerospace components, tools, and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Procurement Planning & Execution: Generate and manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders, and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring the availability of materials without overstocking.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to align procurement activities with project requirements and timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that procured materials meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost metrics, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and generate reports for management review.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in procurement within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of aerospace components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are a plus.
