Organization Make-In-India EV Start up which is involved in designing , developing and manufacturing of EV components like Electric Motor, Drive, Converter and OBD Power Electronic Design and solutions. The company is founded by four young founders who are serial entrepreneurs and successful professionals with more than 14 years of corporate experience in various roles and capacities and hailing from India's top premier institutions like NITs and IIMs / SPJain / IIFT.
Role We are seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy Sales Engineer to join our client's team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling electric vehicle components to EV manufacturing companies, driving revenue growth, and establishing strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive components and systems, combined with excellent communication and sales skills to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the electric vehicle components sector.
  • Identify and target potential customers within the EV manufacturing industry, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and system integrators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts, understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to provide customers with technical support, product demonstrations, and customized solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and workshops to educate customers on our electric vehicle components and their applications.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts in collaboration with the sales team, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, track opportunities, and provide regular updates to sales management on sales forecasts, market trends, and competitive activity.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the electric vehicle components market, providing insights and recommendations to sales and marketing teams.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to promote our products, network with potential customers, and generate leads.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field. Technical degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering roles, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
  • Strong technical background in electric vehicle components and systems, including familiarity with electric motors, battery systems, power electronics, and charging infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, understand their needs, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close sales opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a customer-centric mindset and a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit manufacturing facilities..
