BEHAVIOURAL TRAINER

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Training needs assessment:
    • Collaborate with HR business partners, business heads (Zonal and CBO levels), and managers to identify behavioural and skills gaps within mid-management and frontline teams.
    • Conduct surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis to develop targeted training strategies that align with business goals.
  • Program design and development:
    • Design, develop, and update training materials, including presentations, workbooks, role-playing scenarios, and e-learning modules.
    • Tailor content specifically to address the unique behavioural challenges faced by both managers and frontline employees, such as conflict management, emotional intelligence, and collaboration.
    • Focus on leadership development for managers, including culture of manager being a trainer and coach, coaching techniques, delegation, and performance feedback skills.
    • Create frameworks, content and case studies/AVs as required, for behavioural training workshops.
    • Work with content designing teams and partners to ensure relevance of content.
  • Training delivery and facilitation:
    • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for groups of various sizes and levels.
    • Utilize a variety of delivery methods, such as workshops, seminars, one-on-one coaching, and online learning platforms.
    • Serve as a facilitator, encouraging open dialogue, active participation, and self-discovery among participants.
  • Coaching and mentoring:
    • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching to managers to reinforce learned behaviours and support their ongoing development as leaders.
    • Mentor frontline staff on improving communication skills, problem-solving, and customer-facing interactions.
    • Deliver constructive feedback to help individuals foster positive habits and modify counterproductive behaviours.
  • Evaluation and collaboration:
    • Establish clear metrics and use tools like post-training assessments and feedback surveys to measure program effectiveness and ROI.
    • Report on training outcomes, employee progress, and departmental performance improvements to HR and senior management.
    • Manage training logistics, including scheduling sessions, booking venues, and maintaining training records.
