Quality Manager

We are hiring a Quality Manager for our client in the Apparel and Fashion Industry (Export house).

The company is a government-recognized "Star Export House" of India which deals in apparel, fashion accessories and home goods products. The company's clients include some of the largest global retailers in the world.

As a Quality Manager for an apparel export house specializing in Kids' and Women's wear, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the overall quality and compliance of the garments produced. You will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process, from sourcing raw materials to final shipment. Your expertise in Kids' and Women's wear will be essential in understanding the specific requirements and intricacies of these product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

· Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures at every stage of production, including pre-production, in-line inspections, and final inspections. Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.

· Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to establish quality expectations, inspect their facilities, and monitor their production processes. Work closely with suppliers to address any quality-related issues and ensure continuous improvement.

· Sample Evaluation: Assess pre-production samples for design accuracy, fabric quality, and construction to provide feedback and corrections to the design and production teams.

· Testing and Compliance: Coordinate with testing laboratories to conduct required quality tests, such as fabric strength, color fastness, and chemical safety, to ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.

· Process Improvement: Analyze quality metrics, defect rates, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in production processes. Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize defects and enhance overall product quality.

· Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for production teams and suppliers to educate them about quality standards, proper techniques, and industry best practices.

· Risk Assessment: Proactively identify potential quality risks in the supply chain and take preventive measures to mitigate them, ensuring timely and flawless production.

· Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and merchandising, to communicate quality requirements and resolve any quality-related issues.

· Shipment Inspections: Coordinate final inspections of finished garments before shipment to ensure compliance with buyer specifications and address any last-minute concerns.

· Customer Relations: Collaborate with customers to understand their quality expectations and feedback, ensuring that the products meet or exceed their requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

· Proven experience (typically 6+ years) as a Quality Manager in an apparel export house, with a focus on Kids' and Women's wear.

· Strong knowledge of garment production processes, fabric types, and construction techniques for Kids' and Women's wear.

· Familiarity with international quality standards and regulations relevant to the apparel industry.

· Experience in conducting quality inspections and managing quality control processes.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

· Proficiency in using quality management tools and software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
