GTM Strategy Manager – Business Development
to drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and shape our go-to-market plans across industries and platforms.
Role Overview
The
GTM Strategy Manager – Business Development
will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, developing GTM strategies for our MarTech solutions, identifying growth opportunities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to convert prospects into long-term clients.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in an
agency environment
, understands performance marketing, digital analytics, marketplace operations, and can combine
strategic thinking, industry insights, and data-driven storytelling
to drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients across FMCG, Retail, Pharma, Beauty, Consumer Tech, and other sectors.
- Build compelling pitches and value propositions for Trailytics' MarTech solutions.
- Lead end-to-end BD cycle: outreach → discovery → demo → proposal → negotiation → closure.
- Build strong CXO/VP-level relationships with brands, agencies, and partners.
- Work closely with the leadership team to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets.
2. GTM Strategy & Solution Positioning
- Build and drive go-to-market strategies for new products, analytics platforms, and AI-powered tools.
- Create segment-based GTM plans including ICP definition, pricing strategy, messaging, and positioning.
- Evaluate product-market fit and propose enhancements based on client conversations.
- Create compelling GTM collateral: capability decks, solution sheets, case studies, problem-solution mapping.
3. Market Intelligence & Industry Analysis
- Conduct competitive benchmarking, market sizing, and white-space opportunity identification.
- Track evolving trends in Martech, eCommerce, Performance Marketing, Retail Media, and Data Analytics.
- Provide insights to product and leadership teams to refine offerings and improve positioning.
4. Data-Driven Storytelling & Analytics
- Translate data insights into clear business narratives for pitches and GTM communication.
- Understand dashboards, KPIs, digital metrics (CTR, CVR, ROAS), Search SOS, OSA, category share, and market share analytics.
- Collaborate with analytics team to craft client-specific solutions and ROI-driven proposals.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Tech, Analytics, and Operations to ensure strong delivery post-closure.
- Support in shaping product strategy based on client needs and marketplace trends.
- Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients with defined SLAs, milestones, and delivery plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 4–6 years of experience
in
Business Development, Strategy, or Client Servicing
within a
MarTech, Digital Agency, Consulting, or Ad-Tech
environment. - Strong understanding of
digital marketing, eCommerce KPIs, marketplace analytics, media metrics, and performance marketing ecosystems
. - Proven track record of handling enterprise clients and closing mid-to-large ticket deals.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills (CXO-facing).
- Strong analytical mindset; ability to interpret data, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Experience building GTM strategies, commercial proposals, and value propositions.
Good to Have
- Understanding of FMCG/CPG industry, retail media, and Q-commerce.
- Familiarity with marketing automation, AI/ML applications in marketing, or data engineering workflows.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), CRM tools, or marketing analytics platforms.
