QA QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and checklists.
  • Carry out material inspections, verify test certificates, and approve construction materials.
  • Conduct site inspections for civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Monitor construction activities to identify non-conformities and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) as required.
  • Ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and project specifications for both villa and high-rise works.
  • Maintain quality documentation including test reports, calibration records, method statements, and inspection logs.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and site teams for quality audits and approvals.
  • Oversee concrete mix design verification, cube testing, waterproofing checks, finishing quality standards, etc.
  • Monitor and verify works related to structural concrete, masonry, plastering, painting, flooring, MEP installations, fire-fighting systems.
  • Train site engineers and supervisors on quality standards, safety, and workmanship.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented for quality issues.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures in civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works.
  • Familiar with codes & standards (IS, ASTM, NBC, ISO).
  • Experience in both high-rise construction (apartments) and low-rise villa projects.
  • Proficiency in quality control documentation, NCR handling, and audits.
  • Knowledge of testing methods for materials (concrete, steel, waterproofing, blockwork, plaster, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
