Job Title: Senior Quality AnalystExperience Required: 3 yearsLocation: RemoteAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Quality Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our products by designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—developers, product managers, and other stakeholders—to deliver high-quality software solutions. As a senior member of the QA team, you will also mentor junior analysts and help shape the overall testing and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities1. Test Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.2.

Test Execution & Automation

  • Execute manual and automated tests (functional, regression, performance, etc.) to identify defects.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent.
  • Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.3.

Defect Management

  • Document, track, and manage defects using issue-tracking tools like Jira or similar.
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues.4.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the refinement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the current testing framework and propose actionable solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools and technologies.5.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor junior QA analysts by providing guidance on test design, automation techniques, and overall best practices.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure seamless integration of QA activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan releases and ensure timely delivery.6.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Provide regular status updates on test progress, quality metrics, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test scenarios, test cases, and test results.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 years in software testing or quality assurance, with a track record of successfully delivering high-quality products.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and life cycle.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and issue tracking systems (Jira).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to mentor team members and lead QA initiatives.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases for data validation and testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
