Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and ensuring value for money while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in procurement processes.
  • Manage project cash flow and report on financial performance.
  • Track changes to the design and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  • Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts and variations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Perform risk and value management and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet deadlines and cost targets.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [3 to 6] years of experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering sector.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
