A Brief Overview

The Pre-Sales Engineer Team is an integral part of the Sales team with a focus on delivering pre-sales demonstrations and technical leadership to enhance the prospecting experience in the sales process. Pre-Sales Engineers (PSEs) focus on selling and demoing our technology platforms in addition to TriNet's applications. This individual will have well rounded experience and expertise in demoing technology platforms and handling high profile, mid to large size prospects. The Pre-Sales Engineer Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of PSEs and managing all levels of the PSE role effectively. This role will provide guidance to both the PSE team and partners. This individual is also responsible for supporting PSEs in answering technical inquiries from prospects regarding technology, features, solutions, applications as well as articulate TriNet's technology and product positioning. The PSE Manager will be driving the success and results for the Pre-Sales Engineer team. This person will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the PSE team and process documentations for the Sales team. The Pre-Sales Engineer Manager is required to effectively document and communicate customer needs for the implementation and sales teams to ensure a positive customer experience. This individual will be lead on projects to drive operational effectiveness and revenue. The Pre-Sales Engineer Manager will be the lead to build relationships with supporting departments and coordinate training for all PSEs. The role will also be tasked with owning all major projects, awards and roll outs. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilites

  •  Coaching and leadership of Pre-Sales Engineer Team    
  • Clearly define functional and individual goals and objectives  
  • Serve as a subject expert to address critical issues and concerns  
  • Responsible for maintaining PSE award calendar 
  • Responsible to lead team meetings jointly with PSE Supervisor  
  • Lead on Queue management and timely execution, Lead on sales leadership reporting and relationships, Lead on demo evolution and continued PSE education  
  • Perform regular performance reviews to direct reports and take correction action when necessary  
  • Monitors SLA expectations of both the PSE team and Sales Consultants
  • Responsible for new hire training for PSEs and Sales Consultants 
  • Handles key projects to drive business results, Communicate effectively across multiple departments, Process creation and documentation  
  • Complete technology demonstrations and delivery high level communication with C-level Executives as needed 
  • Manage and interpret prospect requirements, Time and territory management, Manage data in the SalesForce CRM system  
  •  Provide coaching and professional development to Sales Consultants and leadership, to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen and technical sales skills.     
  •  Coordinates and collaborates with internal sales teams to understand customer requirements, promote product recommendations for prospects, and provide sales support   
  • Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering concepts in simple, effective terms 
  • Strategize and plan prospect presentations with sales team and other technical experts       
  • Provide prospects insights on how TriNet can improve their operational effectiveness
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education

  • Master's Degree MBA in Sales & Marketing       

Work Experience

Experience

  • Typically 6+ years

Experience Details 

  • PEO Sales, Sales Support or Sale Engineer
  • Experience with SalesForce or other CRMs
  • Experience in consultative selling and/or delivery of demos to C-level prospects
  • Experience with selling technology platforms/applications
