Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and compliance with all statutory requirements. The role also includes ensuring legal compliance in areas such as labour laws, employment contracts, Shops & Establishment registrations, and maintaining statutory registrations like Registration Certificates (RC) for business operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Talent Management
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle documentation, and induction.
 - Maintain employee master data, contracts, and HRIS system.
 - Coordinate payroll inputs and ensure accurate records of attendance and leave.
 
2. Statutory Compliance & Legal Licensing
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws (Factories Act, Payment of Wages, Minimum Wages, Gratuity, Bonus, Maternity Benefits, etc.).
 - Handle registration and renewals under Shops & Establishments Act for all business locations.
 - Maintain Registration Certificates (RCs), labor licenses, and contract labor compliances as per CLRA (Contract Labour Regulation & Abolition Act).
 
3. Employee Engagement & Grievance Handling
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary issues.
 - Support engagement, recognition, and welfare programs to enhance employee satisfaction.
 
4. Policy & Process Implementation
- Ensure company policies are aligned with statutory requirements.
 - Keep management updated on regulatory changes impacting HR and operations.
 
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, CLRA, Shops & Establishments Act, and statutory compliances.
 - Experience in handling legal documentation, RC, and contract labor management.
 - Good stakeholder management and liaisoning skills with government authorities.
 - Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS, and compliance management tools.
 
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA/PGDM in HR, with additional certification in labour laws preferred.
 - 4–8 years of HR experience with strong exposure to compliance and legal licensing.
 - Experience in hospitality, retail, or multi-location setups will be an added advantage.
