
Asst Manager/ Manager Payroll and Compliance

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Review and verify payroll data, including timesheets and fixed and variable components like bonuses or other relevant details.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments to gather necessary payroll inputs and resolve discrepancies on time.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and labor standards related to payroll and benefits across India.
• Prepare and submit payroll-related registers and another compliance register.
• Getting approval from Registers and disbursement of salaries to all employees on time.
• Compliance also includes tax filings, reconciliations, and audits as and when required.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements and implement necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and best practices in the organization.
• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Collaborate with IT and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payroll systems and software.
• Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested by management. Requirements:
• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Indian payroll processing and compliance, preferably in Real Estate, Engineering, Logistics, manufacturing, or automotive industry.
• Proficiency in using HR software such as ZingHR, DarwinBox, or similar payroll management systems is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment keeping accuracy in mind.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels across organisation.
• Certification in Payroll Processing or related field (e.g., CPP, FPC) is a plus.
