Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and learner-focused Retention Manager to lead student engagement and retention initiatives across our learning ecosystem. The role involves building and executing retention strategies, managing a team, and leveraging lifecycle platforms like MoEngage to reduce churn, improve course completion, and increase lifetime value.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of retention specialists/executives.
- Set and monitor KPIs to ensure delivery on engagement and retention goals.
- Provide coaching and training to drive continuous skill growth within the team.
2. Lifecycle Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (push, in-app, email, WhatsApp) to improve engagement, renewals, and re-activation.
- Build automated learner journeys with MoEngage Flows and behavioral triggers.
- Optimize campaigns through continuous testing and iteration.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Marketing, Content, and Academic Success teams to align communication with learner needs and milestones.
- Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to ensure motivational and consistent messaging.
4. Content Personalization & Engagement
- Develop segmented communication strategies for varied learner profiles.
- Drive engagement through nudges, reminders, milestones, and performance-based content.
5. Performance Analytics & ROI Tracking
- Track KPIs such as active learners, course completions, subscription renewals, and cohort health.
- Use MoEngage Analytics, Firebase, and dashboards to evaluate campaign impact.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance engagement.
6. Platform Mastery
- Demonstrate advanced expertise in MoEngage (segmentation, triggers, predictive analytics).
- Apply A/B and multivariate testing for campaign optimization.
- Familiarity with WebEngage, CleverTap, or Braze is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing, ideally in EdTech.
- Proven track record in leading retention campaigns with measurable results.
- Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on expertise in MoEngage (automation, segmentation, analytics).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
