We are seeking a highly skilled XML Conversion Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in XML/XHTML schema definitions, web development, and database programming. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces while ensuring seamless XML-based conversion processes for various projects.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of XML/XHTML schema definition and processing tools.
  • Skilled in designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces using XML, HTML, XHTML, and scripting languages.
  • Experience in programming databases and coding using XML language.
  • Well-experienced in the development of web-based applications using various client-side technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.
  • Possess strong XHTML and EPUB skills; knowledgeable in how to use appropriate hooks in XHTML.
  • Good knowledge of Epsilon, DTD, and XML Schema.
  • Proficient in parsing tools like xmlSpy and Oxygen XML Editor.
  • Able to work across multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux) and use development tools like .NET
  • Outstanding communication skills and a fast learner.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, based on the needs of the organization.
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with designers, back-end developers, and project management teams.

Preferred candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of XML, HTML AND XHTML schemas experience.
  • Technical experience on E-Pub and XHTML.
  • Prior experience in the e-publishing/typesetting industry is a plus.
