Position: Open Access – Business Development Professional
Role Overview-
You will drive business growth across Maharashtra and Karnataka by facilitating Open Access transactions, leading market development initiatives, maintaining strong government & regulatory relationships, and enabling revenue generation. The role combines business development, regulatory analysis, and end-to-end Open Access operations.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Support regional teams in closing Bilateral and Power Exchange (PX) deals.
- Execute strategies aligned with monthly & annual revenue goals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Open Access, Renewable Energy, and Power Trading.
- Motivate and guide team members toward innovative business expansion.
B. Regulatory & Policy Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with SLDCs, SERCs, and DISCOMs.
- Provide clients with regular insights on regulations, reforms, and policy changes.
- Analyze regulatory frameworks, MYT Orders, and state RE policies.
- Assess future regulatory impacts and share actionable recommendations.
C. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Prepare monthly regional reports on:
- Market updates, trends, competition tracking
- Customer acquisition strategies
- New business models in OA & RE
- Regulatory developments and petitions
- Monitor pricing trends and opportunities across multiple trading horizons.
D. Commercial & Contractual Management
- Draft, negotiate, and manage PPAs, LOIs, and related documents.
- Handle OA approvals, SLDC coordination, scheduling, metering, and billing accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth transaction execution.
E. Client Relationship Management
- Build & maintain strong industrial, commercial, and RE customer relationships.
- Support clients with OA applications, feasibility checks, and regulatory clarifications.
- Conduct client presentations, meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA in Energy Management, Electrical & Electronics, Power Management, or related fields.
- 6–8 years
of experience in Open Access, Power Trading, Regulatory Affairs, or BD roles in the power sector. - Solid understanding of OA regulations, SLDC processes, power markets, and commercial documentation.
- Strong interpretation skills for regulatory orders and market trends.
