Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled
L2/L3 Network Engineer
to join our Network Operations team in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in routing, switching, and network security, with hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN).
  • Handle network incidents and escalations at L2/L3 level, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring network issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Collaborate with global network teams to support infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
  • Monitor network performance, optimize bandwidth utilization, and ensure high availability.
  • Implement network security best practices including ACLs, IPS/IDS, and VPN policies.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and change management records.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 network support.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of
    Routing & Switching protocols
    – BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VRFs.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Cisco
    ,
    Juniper
    , or
    Arista
    network equipment.
  • Experience in
    firewall management
    (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint).
  • Proficiency in
    network monitoring tools
    (SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark, SNMP).
  • Familiar with
    SD-WAN
    ,
    VPN technologies
    , and
    network automation tools
    .
  • Good understanding of
    IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting
    , and
    QoS
    .
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
    CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent (CCIE is a plus).
