Job title: Senior Manager- Workforce and Location Strategy
Purpose of the role:
The role holder will work closely with the Programme Manager and other senior stakeholders to lead the global book of work. This will include, but will not be limited to, a focus on Asia projects. He/she will be responsible for MSS Operations but also other functions within MSS. In addition, the role holder will be expected to demonstrate extensive experience of delivering complex and global projects within budget & timeframe. It is expected that this role will be dynamic in leading and influencing senior business stakeholders both in country and city offices during the end-to-end offshoring/nearshoring life cycle. They will work closely with resources allocated from the programme delivery teams and the business leaders to ensure robust planning and linkage between different project phases, careful management of risks and issues, resource planning, communications and budget control. They will also have significant interaction with senior business stakeholders both country and city/nearshore offices & will be expected to provide constructive challenge in a professional manner. The scope of the role is not limited to pure leadership, but they may also be responsible for execution of a number of projects. The holder of the role will be expected to have full project management awareness of the context of the role, including (but not restricted to) NFR, Regulatory, Technical influencing factors. The role holder will be responsible for delivery of all benefits & managing costs as per the approved business case & reporting to the Programme Manager on a regular basis on status of all initiatives, including remigrations.

MSS business/product knowledge (MSS Operations experience an advantage) Strong understanding of HSBC & GBM functionally, operationally & financiallyProven track record of successfully implementing complex change initiatives across multiple functions/geographiesAbility to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear languageAbility to lead and work with virtual teams, with experience of influencing peoplePrevious experience in a Location Strategy role would be a distinct advantageGraduate degree (preferable in Business Administration/Finance)Desktop IT applications, e.g. MS Work, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Knowledge and use of project management tools Project and programme methodologies an advantage (knowledge of BTF an advantage)What additional skills will be good to have?
