Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead and strengthen the Human Resources function in our Lead Batteries Manufacturing operations. The role demands a strong focus on manufacturing workforce management, labor law compliance, industrial relations, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to business leadership while ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and execute HR strategies to support business growth and productivity.
  • Plan manpower requirements for plant operations and corporate teams.
  • Drive organizational development and succession planning.

2. Talent Acquisition & Retention

  • Lead recruitment for skilled/unskilled manpower, technical staff, and leadership positions.
  • Design and implement retention strategies for critical plant roles.
  • Oversee structured onboarding and orientation programs.

3. Industrial Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Labor Laws, ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, Contract Labor, Pollution Board norms, etc.
  • Maintain cordial relations with labor unions and government authorities.
  • Handle disciplinary issues, grievance redressal, and settlements.

4. Performance Management & Development

  • Implement KPI/KRA-based performance appraisal systems.
  • Identify training needs for factory workers and management staff.
  • Drive continuous learning and skill development programs.

5. HR Operations & Employee Engagement

  • Supervise payroll, attendance, and HRMS processes.
  • Prepare and present MIS/HR dashboards for management reviews.
  • Lead employee engagement, welfare activities, and communication initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and ethical practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
  • 1015 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in battery/chemical/lead or heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Strong expertise in industrial relations, labor law compliance, and plant HR operations.
  • Proven ability to handle large workforce across multiple shifts.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and people management skills.
