Experience - 6Yrs -10 Yrs
The Legal Manager will be responsible for handling all legal matters related to real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and vetting of agreements, sale deeds, lease deeds, and other property-related documentation. The role also includes ensuring compliance with applicable real estate and property laws, managing due diligence, and supporting the business in negotiations and transactions.
1. Drafting and Documentation
- Draft, review, and finalize various real estate documents such as:
- Sale deeds, conveyance deeds, lease agreements, and license agreements
- Joint development agreements (JDAs) and construction contracts
- Agreement to sell, sale agreements, and power of attorney documents
- Prepare and vet title documents, legal opinions, and due diligence reports.
2. Legal Compliance and Due Diligence
- Conduct legal due diligence of properties to verify ownership, title, encumbrances, and compliance with local laws.
- Liaise with external counsels for title verification and legal audits.
- Ensure compliance with RERA, Stamp Duty, Registration, and other statutory requirements.
3. Transaction Support
- Support business and project teams during property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and joint ventures.
- Negotiate with counterparties and external stakeholders to protect the company's legal interests.
- Review and assist in execution and registration of property documents.
4. Litigation and Dispute Management
- Coordinate with external lawyers for property-related litigation and dispute resolution.
- Handle legal notices, consumer complaints, and arbitration proceedings.
5. Advisory and Governance
- Advise management on legal risks and implications of real estate transactions.
- Maintain an updated repository of legal documentation, property titles, and contracts.
Develop templates and checklists to standardize documentation and compliance processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹700, ₹900,000.00 per year
