Job Overview

The YouTube Manager will be responsible for strategizing, creating, and optimizing video content tailored for UPSC aspirants. This role requires both behind-the-scenes strategy and on-camera presence when needed. The candidate will play a key role in driving channel growth, enhancing student engagement, and positioning YouTube as a strong platform for brand visibility, lead generation, and community building.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy & Planning
   
   • Design and implement a YouTube content strategy aligned with UPSC aspirants needs and company objectives.
   
   • Research trending topics, exam updates, and student interests to generate engaging video ideas.
   
   • Create and manage monthly/weekly content calendars (lectures, toppers talks, guidance sessions, motivation, webinars, announcements).
2. Channel Growth & Optimization
   
   • Optimize channel branding, thumbnails, titles, tags, playlists, and descriptions for maximum reach and visibility.
   
   • Implement YouTube SEO best practices for improved rankings on both YouTube and Google.
   
   • Benchmark against competitors channels and adopt best-performing practices.
3. Production & Execution
   
   • Coordinate with academic mentors, faculty, and production teams for high-quality content creation.
   
   • Ensure videos are engaging, concise, and tailored for UPSC aspirants.
   
   • Oversee livestreams (strategy sessions, doubt-clearing, UPSC exam analysis).
   
   • Act as a YouTube presenter when required.
4. Analytics & Performance
   
   • Track and analyze KPIs (views, watch time, CTR, subscribers, engagement).
   
   • Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights.
   
   • Experiment with innovative formats (shorts, reels, interactive Q&As).
5. Engagement & Community Building
   
   • Grow the subscriber base and foster engagement through comments, polls, and community posts.
   
   • Collaborate with social media and marketing teams for cross-platform promotions.
   
   • Drive lead generation through YouTube funnel (enquiry forms, website visits, course promotions).
6. Team Management & Coordination
   
   • Lead, guide, and motivate the YouTube content, production, and creative teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
   
   • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability and quality standards.
   
   • Conduct regular team meetings for planning, feedback, and performance discussions.
   
   • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, or related field.
  
  • 4years to 9years of proven experience as a YouTube Strategist, Content Manager, or Digital Marketing Specialist.
  
  • Strong leadership and team management skills ability to coordinate across creative, production, and marketing teams.
  
  • In-depth knowledge of YouTube SEO, analytics, and monetization strategies.
  
  • Understanding of UPSC exam trends, aspirants mindset, and educational content creation.
  
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  
  • Ability to appear as a YouTube presenter when required.
  
  • Basic knowledge of video editing tools (advanced skills are a plus).
  
  • Data-driven mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.
  
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
