Role Purpose
Leads and coordinates all activities for the provision of upgrade and support services for a VMware-based cloud platform, ensuring service quality, timely delivery, and adherence to operational schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Service Management
Oversee and manage all technical support and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders for service delivery.
Ensure timely resolution of reported defects or issues and monitor upgrade progress.
Prepare agendas and minutes for meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Incident & Problem Resolution
Manage root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and ensure documented investigation results.
Oversee vulnerability, threat, and end-of-support notifications and coordinate remedial actions.
Patch & Upgrade Management
Plan, approve, and coordinate software upgrades and patch installations.
Ensure updates are implemented according to best practices and minimise service disruption.
Team Leadership
Supervise technical support staff and ensure adequate resource allocation.
Mentor and guide team members to maintain high service quality.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of post-qualification IT experience.
At least 4 years of experience managing IT and virtualisation projects in an enterprise environment.
Preferred Certifications
VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP-NV)
VMware Certified Professional – Cloud Management & Automation (VCP-CMA)
Skills
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Proven expertise in VMware infrastructure management.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and presentation abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹60, ₹70,000.00 per month
